Wow, it is that time of year again when we reflect on the year and make preparations for the next one. 2020 lead us into 2021 wanting and needing some sense of normalcy. 2021 would prove to build on that need like a roller coaster cranking us up. The adrenaline rush matched the hope vaccines provided in the shadow of skepticism of the side effects. It gave some the ability to walk away from jobs causing some companies to close their doors forever. It gave some false assurance but peace in gatherings on the way up. But when we began to feel good about going out and interacting with others the ride had reached its peak and started to drop. It did not matter that we started to learn how to deal with the pandemic or that many of us still struggled with social gatherings. Variants emerged, sending many into thoughts of yester year.
